Free GA4 checker
Enter your page and we load it in a real browser, accept and reject the cookie banner, and walk to a product and the cart, recording every request GA4 receives.
Free, no sign-up. Takes about a minute.
What it checks
- GA4 is configured on the page and actually sends data to /g/collect
- Which measurement IDs (G-…) are tagged, and whether there is more than one
- Consent Mode: the default before tags fire, and what GA4 gets after "reject all"
- view_item, add_to_cart and begin_checkout events, each with value and currency
- Purchase events carry value, currency and transaction_id (on order confirmation pages)
The same scan also checks Plumfinch's full list of 25 ad and analytics platforms, so the report shows anything else that is broken. See every check.
Reading the result
- "GA4 is sending data" lists the measurement IDs that received hits. Compare them with the ID under Admin, Data streams in your GA4 property.
- "More than one GA4 property" is common and not always wrong: a second property for an agency, a test property or a separate brand. It is worth knowing who receives the data, and an old property still collecting is usually a leftover.
- "Configured but sent no data" means a G- ID is in the page's tag setup but nothing reached Google, even after accepting cookies. The tag may wait for a consent update that never comes, or fire on a trigger that never happens.
- "Shop events have no value or currency" means revenue and item reports stay empty for those steps. See GA4 purchases show zero revenue.
What a page scan cannot see
GA4 sent through your own server-side tagging container is invisible to a page scan, so "No GA4 seen" is a note, not a failure. The scan does not log in or place orders: to check the purchase event, scan the order confirmation page, or use DebugView in GA4 while you place a test order. And GA4's standard reports take up to a day to fill in, so use the Realtime report or DebugView when you test a change.
Prefer to check by hand? How to check your GA4 setup in DevTools walks through the same requests in your own browser.
