Free LinkedIn Insight Tag checker
Enter your page and we load it in a real browser like a new visitor, accept the cookie banner once and reject it once, and record every request the Insight Tag sends to LinkedIn.
Free, no sign-up. Takes about a minute.
What it checks
- The Insight Tag loads and sends page views to px.ads.linkedin.com
- The partner ID it sends, and whether a second partner ID is tagged
- The tag waits until the visitor accepts cookies
- The tag stops after the visitor clicks "reject all"
- li_fat_id, LinkedIn's click ID, is still in the URL after your redirects
- No email addresses in plain text in LinkedIn requests
The same scan also checks Plumfinch's full list of 25 ad and analytics platforms, so the report shows anything else that is broken. See every check.
Reading the result
- "LinkedIn Insight Tag is sending events" lists the partner ID we saw. Compare it with the partner ID shown with your Insight Tag in Campaign Manager. A different number means the page carries someone else's tag.
- "Loaded, but we saw no events" means
insight.min.jsloaded but nothing reachedpx.ads.linkedin.com. One cause is a snippet where_linkedin_partner_idis missing or set after the script runs. Another is the tag holding back for our automated browser, so confirm in Campaign Manager before you change anything. - "More than one ID is tagged" is usually a previous agency's tag that was never removed. It sends your visitors to their account.
- Before consent or after "reject" means the tag ignores the cookie banner. The Insight Tag has no consent switch of its own, so your consent tool has to block it until the visitor accepts.
What a page scan cannot see
Most LinkedIn conversions happen after a click: a form is sent, a demo is booked. The scan does not fill in forms, so it cannot fire those. Two ways around it:
- URL-based conversions are matched by LinkedIn on the page address. Scan the thank-you page itself and check the tag sends from there. Forms hosted on HubSpot, Typeform or a booking tool often end on a page without the tag.
- Event-specific conversions are sent with
lintrk('track', { conversion_id: … })when the action happens. Trigger the action yourself with DevTools open and look for a request withconversionId=. If it shows as "(canceled)", the page moved on before it was sent.
Server-side events sent through LinkedIn's Conversions API never pass through the browser, so no page scan can see them.
