Free TikTok pixel checker

Enter your page and we load it like a new visitor, accept and reject the cookie banner, walk to a product and add it to the cart, and record what the TikTok pixel sends at each step.

Scan as a visitor from

Free, no sign-up. Takes about a minute.

What it checks

  • The TikTok pixel loads and sends events to analytics.tiktok.com
  • One pixel code, or every extra code is yours
  • The pixel waits until the visitor accepts cookies, and stops after "reject all"
  • Product view, add-to-cart and checkout-start events, each with value and currency
  • Purchase events carry value, currency and an event_id (on order confirmation pages)
  • ttclid, TikTok's click ID, is still in the URL after your redirects

The same scan also checks Plumfinch's full list of 25 ad and analytics platforms, so the report shows anything else that is broken. See every check.

Reading the result

  • "Sending events" lists the pixel code and the events we saw, such as Pageview and ViewContent. Check the code matches the pixel in TikTok Events Manager.
  • "Loaded, but we saw no events": events.js loaded but nothing reached /api/v2/pixel. See TikTok pixel not firing for the causes.
  • "We saw no add to cart event" comes from our walk through the store. TikTok needs these events for shopping ads and for optimising towards purchases. If you send them server-side only, through the Events API, the browser shows nothing and this result is expected.
  • "No value or currency" means the event arrived without a positive number and a three-letter currency code, so TikTok cannot report ROAS or optimise for value.

What a page scan cannot see

The scan never places an order, so it only checks the purchase event when you scan the order confirmation page itself. Events sent from your server through TikTok's Events API do not pass through the browser at all. And TikTok's own reporting can lag by up to a day, so a pixel that works here can still look quiet in Ads Manager for a while.
